Lily by Jacqueline Wilson

This is about a girl called Lily, her mum, her brother and her two sisters, Pixie and Bliss. Their mum has gone on holiday and called Lily's divorced step-dad to look after them for a week. However, she and all her brothers and sisters' don't like him so Lily tells him on the phone that their mum's there and he doesn't need to come. So now she's the children's "Lilymum". She has lots of sticky situations trying not to let anyone know about them being all alone... I think this book is very good because at the beginning she was wishing she had a big posh house and she liked to be by herself but at the end all she wanted was their flat and her family.
