This book is a comedy although it is quite like reality! The main character is called Jess. Her parents are divorced and she lives with her mum; her dad lives far away. At school there is a French exchange student project so she has Eduard and she expects him to be completely gorgeous so she gets Fred, a close friend, to Photoshop her picture to make her look gorgeous. Jess also has her BFF Flora doing the exchange program as well but Flora is absolutely gorgeous and she has all the boys falling for her and to top it off she is super rich and that makes Jess a bit jealous, but she loves her to bits!
What I liked about the book is it is such a classic story and it has really crazy twists at points you wouldn't expect them - so I would say that Jess has plenty of surprises especially at the end. I highly recommend this book: it will create laughter, gasps and relief!
