All-American Girl by Meg Cabot

This book should be a instant hit with kids in their early teens. Its about art-loving goth girl Samantha (AKA Sam), who lives in Washington DC . She has two sisters Lucy (the Cheerleader ) and Rebecca ( the Brainiac). The other characters are Jack (Lucy's Boyfriend ) and David (the president's son ). She goes from social outcast to mega celebrity in John Adams Preparatory School. She likes to draw celebrities at the back of her German book: this causes her a terrible level in German, so her parents enrolled her into straightforward Susan Boone's class. Samantha hates receiving critiscism so decides to bunk off her next art class. She goes into a record store, and comes out to find a guy about to assasinate the president. But quick-thinking Sam jumps on him and saves the president's life. Sam break an arm but gets appointed as the US TEEN AMBASADOR. This means she gets to spend a lot of time with David...

I think this is an epic and explosive book, which is gripping and funny too.I highly recommend it.
