The Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke

This story is about Mo and Meggie Folchart. Mo has extraordinary powers, his voice can bring characters out of books. But he has no control over who comes out of the book or who goes into the book taking the character's place. When Meggie is three Mo discovers his talent when upon reading a book called "Inkheart", three men by the name of Capricorn, Basta and Dustfinger appear in his living room. But Resa, Meggie's mother, has vanished.

This story is told in third-person narration. It tells us the thoughts of the characters to help us understand them and the story a bit more. At the beginning of each chapter there is a quote from a different book. This helps us get into the theme of the story as the story is about one book so why not have a bit of other books inside?

In my opinion this a good novel because it is adventurous and I don't think there is anything like it.I would only give it four stars because the third and final book, "Inkdeath", wasn't as good as the first two because it took time to get to the point.I would recommend it to adventure seekers and constant readers.
