The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon

I thought this book was great! It is about a young boy called Christopher with behavioural problems. He easily understands maths and science but what he doesn't understand are emotions. When his neighbour's dog dies he is upset and decides to investigate and write a murder mystery novel. He is naturally quite a handful (high maintenance.) his father is very stressed while he is investigating the incident but Christopher is captivated and determined to find the killer. As he carries on with the investigation he finds out more than he intended to and ends up delving deep into family lies and secrets, and he realises he might not be safe where he is.

It's very interesting to read from his point of view, because the way he thinks is very different to the way most humans would think. it was a very good plot line and it was written very well.

  1. I really enjoyed this book as it taught you to think about what people with Asperger’s Syndrome go through. I also really enjoyed it as there was a lot of humour in the book. By Mabel Cefai
