This book is hilarious! It is about this kid called Greg Heffley. He has a best friend called Rowley Gefferon (who is kind of dumb). His has a older, evil brother called Rodrick Heffley who is always trying to get him in trouble. He has a younger brother called Manny Heffley who calls Greg “bubby” due to the face when he was a baby he couldn’t say brother. His mum (Susan Heffley) is a good mother. His father (Frank Heffley) is interested in U.S history especially the American civil war. He also has a friend called Fregley Breck who is really wired and... well just weird.
Well this book is about Greg who is trying to be the most popular kid in school. He is trying everything he can to be the class favourite but can’t do it. Also in the story he has a fight with Rowley and they don’t talk to each other for a quite a time. Another thing that I love about this book is that there is something called the cheese touch. The cheese touch is a cheese that had fallen out of someone sandwich onto the playground and has been there for a long time. Now the cheese is mouldy and no one would pick it up. If you touch he cheese then that means you have the cheese touch (it’s just like the cooties).

Diary of a wimpy kid is a hilarious book that you would never forget! Why? One of the reasons why is that is not just a book it is a book that is a friend! Greg Heffley tells you what happens in his day and he has a life that is believable and makes you want to read on and find out more. This book helps you to know that if people think you are a wimpy kid and you know you are not, just ignore them and have fun never let them come in tour you away. His family is not even nearly close to being like mine and yours , they are a missed up family,(good and bad and have only one thing in common.)which is that they all can me mischievous especially when Greg’s mother got a phone call and she told him to say she was out and he told her that she always said not to lie and so he made his mum go out in the pouring rain then he said “sorry she is not in the house at the moment” what makes children want read this book is how the author manages to inject enough humour in the simple drawings to make the book fun for a child. The author leaves a mysterious ending to each addition staring from the first making you wanting to buy the next and enjoy!

I think this is very funny book to I got the set for chistmas and I have already read three of them I think there really funny.
